As part of my Business Doorstep Portraits project to celebrate local small businesses reopening and getting back to business I’ve been giving some local business owners a complimentary doorstep portrait. A photo to mark the times and share on social media to show the world how they are reopening and back in business.

Earlier this week I spent an afternoon and early evening with three Belfast-based businesses to capture how they are adjusting to re-opening and getting back to business post lockdown – all three coincidentally were focused one way or another on getting us moving or keeping us on our feet…

Happy Feet

Gerardette got in touch and said she’d seen my doorstep portraits last weekend. When she told me she had been thinking how she really wanted a group photo of her fantastic podiatry team all together in their PPE gear to mark this unique time and how they are adapting, I jumped at the chance to document it for them.

Even in visors and masks you can see the smiles in their eyes and the dedication to being back to work for those who need them. What a team! I really admire their spirit and the way they’ve risen to the challenge in these times.
