Continuing my Business Doorstep Portraits project to celebrate local small businesses getting back to business after lockdown I was in Belfast earlier this week catching up with three local businesses. I’ve been creating complimentary doorstep portraits for local business owners and giving them something to mark this unusual time and share that they are getting back to business on social media.

The businesses I met last week are all in one way or another focused on getting us moving or keeping us on our feet… so next up, meet WalkItOffNI.

WalkItOffNI

Meet Nikki, passionate lover of life and “people walker” – with WalkItOffNI she offers accompanied walking in Belfast and the surrounding area. Her “office” is the great outdoors so we decided to take her portrait on her actual doorstep, ready to head off in her walking shoes…

Nikki and I met last year on an amazing weekend in Donegal at Sandhill House. Having lived a high-paced corporate life in London I had already seen the light and knew the benefit of getting out in nature, and with a mother who walks all the time it’s definitely in my genes to appreciate a good walk, but even I was intrigued by Nikki’s guided walking experiences.

Walking at your pace, she’ll really help you tap into the joy of the outdoors and having experienced the curated experience, “Hidden Huntley” I can definitely recommend some time with WalkItOffNI. We even had a lovely mindful moment appreciating a butterfly right on her doorstep. I’m really excited to see what Nikki will get up to now we can all get outdoors more…
